Rural Preferential Recruitment

Rural Preferential Recruitment (RPR) Is a merit based recruitment process for final year medical students who are interested in working in a rural setting.

Who is eligible to apply to RPR?

  • All medical graduates are able to apply through the RPR pathway.
  • Offers will be made in the order outlined in the NSW Health Priority List for Intern Recruitment.

Applications

To apply for an RPR position medical graduates must apply via a two-step process:

  1. Online Application Submit an application in the online application system by the closing date. Applicants must indicate in their online application that they are applying via the RPR pathway.

    AND

  2. JMO Career Portal Submit a separate application for each hospital where they wish to work through the JMO Career Portal by the closing date of the application period.

Offers are made based on the outcome of the RPR preference matching process.
