Welcome to the eLearning module Clinical Information Access Portal (CIAP)
The Clinical Information Access Portal (CIAP) provides information and resources to support evidence-based practice at the point of care.
The goal of CIAP is to improve access to decision support, support evidence-based health care, reduce adverse events, improve clinical knowledge and improve communications between clinician groups.
CIAP offers three assessable eLearning Modules to enable learners to develop knowledge and skills in undertaking Evidence-Based Practice.
The CIAP Modules may be accessed at www.ciap.health.nsw.gov.au/learning.
The assessable components are only available via My Health Learning.
A certificate is issued on completion.
Objectives
After completion of each module on the CIAP site, you will undertake assessments on:
- Locating Evidence
- Searching for Evidence
- Integrating Evidence into Practice
Audience
This course is applicable for CIAP is available to all nurses, midwives, doctors, allied health, community health and ancillary staff working in or for NSW public health system including students while on clinical placement in a NSW Health public hospital. and may qualify for up to 0.4 hrs of Continuous Professional Development.
