Welcome to the eLearning module Violence Prevention and Management for Managers.

This 30 minute eLearning module is designed for managers of health units and facilities. It aims to provide you with detailed information about your obligations and practical strategies for promoting a safe workplace environment free of aggression and violence.

A certificate is issued on completion.

Objectives

By completing this module you will be able to:

• Demonstrate an understanding of the managers' roles and responsibilities in preventing and managing aggression and violence
• Demonstrate an understanding of the legal and ethical issues in managing aggression
• Promote workplace safety
• Assist with the integration of violence prevention and management principles in the workplace
• Reflect on your own workplace behaviour

Audience

This course is applicable for all managers of health units and facilities and may qualify for up to 0.5 hrs of Continuous Professional Development.
