Working with Aboriginal mothers & families
This module sets the scene for working successfully with Aboriginal families. The skills required to build rapport with Aboriginal families involve the demonstration of respect and understanding for cultural values and history, and the use of reflective practice to review decisions and actions at work. The module explores how to use these skills to develop professional relationships with women and families, supported by an understanding of the determinants of Aboriginal health and wellbeing.
