Welcome to the eLearning module Business Planning for Wards and Departments.

This module provides guidance to managers at ward, department or similar level cost centre entities to perform business planning to pepare a business plan.

A certificate is issued on completion.

Objectives

Upon completion of this module you should be able to:

• Explain the role of a business plan in operational management.
• Describe the relationship between organisational strategic plans and operational business plans.
• Identify the types and sources of information required to inform the development of a business plan.
• Develop a business plan for a ward, department or other business unit using an appropriate structure.

Audience

The course is designed for those who manage wards, departments or other organisational entities and may qualify for up to 0.5 hrs of Continuous Professional Development.
