HETI manages the applications, allocation and placements of new medical graduates across the NSW prevocational training networks, as well as student clinical placements.

HETI also supports equal access to education and training through scholarships and grants. We encourage participation in areas of need and support thousands of NSW Health staff and students to develop their careers. Scholarships and grants on offer include:

• Rural Medical Trainee scholarships
• Postgraduate Scholarships in Applied Mental Health Studies and Psychiatric Medicine
• Nursing and Midwifery scholarships and grants
