This module is a pre-requisite for My Food Choice face to face training. It outlines the outcomes the My Food Choice program aims to achieve including increased patient choice and improved nutritional outcomes.

A certificate is issued on completion.

Objectives

At the end of this module the learner will be able to:

  • Explain how My Food Choice increases patient choice, and improves health and nutrition outcomes and the overall hospital experience.
  • Explain your role in offering patients a balanced diet.
  • Identify how the patient’s diet code affects the types of food items that they can order.

Audience

This course is applicable for Food Service Staff and may qualify for up to 0.3 hrs of Continuous Professional Development.
