Mental Health Phase of Care

Welcome to the eLearning module Mental Health Phase of Care.

The Mental Health Phase of Care is a new clinical outcome measure that we need to record for our consumers. This outcome measure, along with others, forms part of the Australian Mental Health Care Classification (AMHCC).

This module will explain the purpose of the Phase of Care and how you will use this measure with your consumers and multidisciplinary team.

A certificate is issued on completion.

Objectives

At the completion of this module you will be able to:

  • Choose the most appropriate Phase of Care at the start of a consumer’s episode of care.
  • Enter the Phase of Care into the EMR system.
  • Review the consumer’s progress and update the Phase of Care when there is a change in the goal of the consumer’s care.

This course is applicable for mental health clinicians assisting mental health consumers, including:

  • Mental health care workers
  • Nurses
  • Doctors
  • Psychologists
  • Allied health workers

This may qualify for up to 0.8 hrs of Continuous Professional Development.
