Welcome to Autonomic Dysreflexia in adults with spinal cord injury.

This module is about Autonomic Dysreflexia and the importance of timely recognition and management of this life threatening condition.

A certificate is issued on completion.

Objectives

On completion of this module the learner will be able to:

• recognise signs and symptoms of delirium
• demonstrates effective questioning techniques from appropriate screening tools
• implement non-pharmacological treatment
• communicate and collaborate with patient, family / carer and multidisciplinary team about management plan including medication

Audience

This module is applicable for doctors, registered nurses, enrolled nurses, community nurses and allied health professionals. This module has been developed for health staff working in facilities that provide general health services and may qualify for up to 0.5 hrs of Continuous Professional Development.
