Welcome to the eLearning module Hazardous Drug Spills.

This module addresses the management and response to hazardous drug spill incidents in the healthcare environment. Topics include equipment requirements, personal protective equipment  and steps to safely clean a spill.

A certificate is issued on completion.

Objectives

On completion of this module, you will be able to:

• Describe the contents of hazardous drug or cytotoxic spill kit.
• List the steps in sequence to don and remove personal protective equipment.
• Describe the steps to clean a hazardous drug spill.

Audience

This module is designed for all healthcare staff who handle, administer and/ or store  hazardous drugs or manage those who do and may qualify for up to 0.4 hrs of Continuous Professional Development.
