This is the fourth video module of six in the How to use healthcare interpreters series. The focus is how to effectively communicate with clients and family/carers with a healthcare interpreter via the telephone.

Objectives

By the end of this course, participants should be able to:

• Describe techniques to communicate effectively with patients and family/carers with healthcare interpreters via the telephone.

Audience

This module is applicable for all frontline NSW Health staff and may qualify for up to 0.1 hrs of Continuous Professional Development.
