Welcome to the eLearning Module Newborn Life Support: Special Circumstances.

This module covers special circumstances which require additional considerations during resuscitation. This program builds on the Newborn Basic Life Support Program and the Newborn  Advanced Life Support Program.

A certificate is issued on completion.

Objectives

On successful completion of this module the learner should be able to:

  • Recognise that newborns in special circumstances require specific interventions to be successfully resuscitated
  • Describe which special circumstances require additional considerations during resuscitation
  • Identify specific interventions required to support effective resuscitation in special circumstances.

Audience

This module is designed for Clinical staff whose scope of practice involves resuscitation of the newborn and may qualify for up to 0.6 hours of Continuous Professional Development.
