Welcome to the eLearning module High Quality Requests for Medical Imaging.

This module supports clinicians to understand the importance of making quality requests for medical imaging on patient diagnostics, diagnosis and intervention. The focus is on radiology requests. Nuclear medicine and radiotherapy requests are made differently and are not the focus of this module.

A certificate is issued on completion.

Objectives

At the end of the module, you will be able to:

• Outline the complexity of medical imaging;
• Identify information required for quality medical imaging requests;
• Demonstrate that higher quality requests support higher quality diagnostics, diagnosis and intervention for patients; and
• Describe how workloads, information and human factors affect the care we provide.

Audience

This course is designed for Junior medical officers (JMOs), senior medical staff and Registrars, Nurse Practitioners, Advanced Clinical Nurses and may qualify for up to 0.5 hrs of Continuous Professional Development.
