Promoting attendance and Managing leave
Welcome to the eLearning module Promoting Attendance and Managing Leave.
This module provides general information on the application and management of leave provisions outlined in the NSW Health Leave Matters. The module supports managers in their responsibility to promote attendance and managing staff leave in the workplace, in line with: relevant Award provisions; the policy directive; and local procedures.
A certificate is issued on completion.
At the end of this module, you will be able to:
- identify the role of the manager to support staff wellbeing;
- make sound business decisions related to active management of staff leave;
- identify the actions to be taken in a range of leave scenarios; and
- actively manage absences to maximise staff wellbeing and minimise unplanned absence and its associated costs.
This course is applicable for all managers who are responsible for staff and may qualify for up to 0.5 hrs of Continuous Professional Development.
