Welcome to the eLearning module Fatigue: Minimising the impact at work.

The management of fatigue in the workplace is a shared responsibility. This module is about an employee’s role in preventing fatigue related issues that impact on their performance in the workplace. It is important to be aware that fatigue which may be experienced at work may have causes from work activities, outside work activities or a combination of both.

A certificate is issued on completion.

Objectives

On completion of this module, the learner will be able to:

  • Define fatigue
  • Determine the difference between fatigue and tiredness
  • Recognise the impact of fatigue on each other and their patients
  • Identify and implement personal actions to minimise the impact of fatigue at work, and
  • Identify and comply with the systems and supports that minimise the impact of fatigue at work.

Audience

This course is applicable for all NSW Health Staff and may qualify for up to 0.5 hrs of Continuous Professional Development.
