Allied Health

The Allied Health Unit at HETI provides a central source of leadership and coordination of education and training for the NSW Health allied health professional workforce. To ensure high-quality evidenced-based care, the Allied Health Unit works with key allied health stakeholders to develop education and training that is clinically meaningful, relevant and responsive to the allied health role and specialty.

There are many eLearning resources available in the state-wide My Health Learning portal including programs designed for Allied Health staff to support the delivery of high-quality, interprofessional, team-based, safe, person-centred care.

My Professional Development: A Compass for Allied Health

This professional development compass has been developed by a collaborative team of allied health education experts and technical experts to assist allied health professionals to link professional development options to their current and future career and/or workforce needs.

It provides easy navigation and access to clusters of learning that are aligned with six career streams: Leadership and Management, Clinical Practice, Strategy, Research, Education and Safety and Quality.

The Allied Health Education and Training Governance Guidelines supports the establishment, access and management of local systems of governance for allied health education and training within Local Health Districts and Specialty Networks in NSW.
