Aboriginal Rural Allied Health University Student Scholarship
Status: OPEN Open 23 Jan 2023 to 16 Feb 2023
Aboriginal allied health students with a rural background who demonstrate an interest in a rural career have the opportunity to apply for a one off $10,000 scholarship to assist with training costs such as fees, technology or placement costs. Priority are given to those students completing a psychology, audiology or a speech pathology qualification. -
Older People’s Mental Health Scholarships - OPEN NOW
Status: OPEN Open 18 Jan 2023 to 30 May 2023
All Applied Mental Health Studies units are underpinned by recovery principles, with an emphasis on the application to clinical practice. From the outset, students select their preferred specialisation in mental health including working with infants, children and youth, adults or older people. The OPMH Scholarship covers 75% of the unit costs related to the Applied Mental Health Studies courses. These scholarships have been funded by Mental Health Branch (MHB) NSW Ministry of Health. The scholarship will be administered and delivered by HETI to NSW Health professionals providing mental health services to older people and their families/carers, aged care staff working within the mental health residential aged care (MH RAC) partnership services supported by NSW Health funding, and clinicians providing mental health care to older people through the Primary Health Networks. Applications will be prioritised as follows: 1. NSW Health staff providing mental health services to older people; 2. Aged care staff working in mental health residential aged care partnership services; or 3. Clinicians providing mental health care to older people through Primary Health Networks. -
NSW Rural Allied Health Postgraduate Scholarships
Status: OPEN Open 23 Jan 2023 to 7 Apr 2023
Scholarships are available to permanent fulltime or part time allied health clinicians employed and currently working in a rural located public health service, to assist with educational expenses directly associated with post-graduate study. In 2020 the scholarships were valued at up to $10,000 dependent on the course undertaken. -
NSW Rural Allied Health Undergraduate Scholarships

Rural Allied Health Undergraduate Scholarships are offered to students from a rural background undertaking "entry level" studies in allied health (leading to a degree that qualifies the student to practice. Up to 20 NSW Rural Allied Health Scholarships, valued up to $10,000, are offered each year. -

Rural Medical Trainee Scholarship

Scholarships of up to $4,500 are available to provide financial assistance with course fees, travel, accommodation and other expenses directly associated with the education and training needs of medical trainees in rural and remote areas. -

The HETI Allied Health Cross Boundary (CB) Grant Program aims to provide financial support to groups of Allied Health Professionals (AHPs) and/or Allied Health Assistants (AHAs) seeking to further develop their knowledge and skills through group related work learning opportunities that occur during 2021/22. -
Metropolitan Access Scholarships

The Metropolitan Access Scholarships (MAS) program provides financial support to eligible NSW rural vocational and prevocational medical trainees undertaking metropolitan training. -
Nursing & Midwifery Undergraduate Clinical Placement Grants
Status: CLOSED Open 20 Feb 2023 to 5 May 2023
Grants up to $1,000 for clinical placements in a NSW public health facility are available to NSW students undertaking a Bachelor of Nursing or Bachelor of Midwifery degree. Grants to assist with accommodation and travel associated with your clinical placement will be awarded based the distance between the GPO of your 'home' university campus and the GPO of the clinical placement. -
Child and Youth Mental Health Services Scholarship
All Applied Mental Health Studies units are underpinned by recovery principles. From the outset, students select their preferred specialisation in mental health, including working with infants, children and youth, adults or older people. The CYMHS scholarship covers 75% of unit costs related to the Applied Mental Health Studies courses with specialisation in Perinatal and Infant, and Child and Youth mental health services. The scholarship will be administered and delivered by HETI to NSW Health professionals providing mental health services to infants, children, youth and their families/carers. These scholarships have been funded by MH-Children and Young People (MH-CYP), NSW Ministry of Health.

Allied Health Workplace Learning Professional Development Program

The Allied Health Workplace Learning Grant Program aims to provide financial support to teams of allied health professionals and/or allied health assistants seeking to further develop their knowledge and skills through workplace learning opportunities. -
Allied Health Assistant Scholarship Program
The HETI Allied Health Assistant Scholarship Program provides funding to support the training of Allied Health Assistants (AHAs) and Pharmacy Assistants and Technicians (PATs) seeking to further develop their knowledge and skills. Eligible AHAs and PATs are able to apply for one-off funding to support their enrolment in the Certificate IV in Allied Health Assistance or the Certificate IV in Hospital/ Health Services Pharmacy Support, which will enhance their ability to perform their current work role.

Postgraduate scholarships for the Applied Mental Health Studies Course
Status: CLOSED Open 4 Sep 2023 to 17 Nov 2023
Scholarships of up to $8,000 are available to registered nurses who are working in full or part-time permanent positions in mental health services of the NSW public health system. These scholarships are funded by the Nursing and Midwifery Office (NaMO) and are provided to assist with educational expenses directly associated with postgraduate study. Scholarships are awarded through a competitive selection process and not all applicants will be awarded a scholarship. The Postgraduate scholarships for the AMHS course will only apply to applicants who are enrolled to study the AMHS course offered by the Health Education and Training Institute (HETI).
