Higher Education Governance
HETI is a registered higher education provider. As a provider, HETI must comply with the Higher Education Standards Framework (Threshold Standards) 2015 that sit under the Tertiary Education Quality and Standards Agency Act 2011.
HETI has peak governance entities to oversee its higher education delivery and these are the HETI Higher Education Academic Board and Higher Education Governing Council.
The Higher Education Academic Board is responsible to ensure the organisation’s higher education objectives are met. It takes responsibility for: academic policy making; academic management; and oversight of best practice in teaching and learning. The Higher Education Academic Board reports to the Higher Education Governing Council that exercises overall responsibility for pursuing the mission and goals of higher education as outlined in the Higher Education Strategic Plan 2016 – 18.

The Higher Education Academic Board and Higher Education Governing Council were established in late 2015 and continue to oversight the delivery of HETI Higher Education.
