Welcome to the eLearning module Managing Your Time.

Utilising the tips in this module will enable you to manage your time effectively, reduce stress and assist you to deliver safe quality care. Quality care for your discipline is something that you are familiar with but providing that care within an interdisciplinary team and hospital structure is a skill of its own. Each health site will have its own culture and be structured differently. The purpose of this module is to assist new graduates to manage their time within a health facility.

A certificate is issued on completion.

Objectives

Once you have completed this module you will be able to:

  • Apply the skills to manage your time effectively
  • Recognise the potential impacts of poor time management practices on patient safety, other staff, and yourself
  • Recognise signs of stress related to competing demands, and implement strategies to manage these demands
  • Refine or develop practical strategies and problem-solving skills to manage your workload.

Audience

The module is designed for new Graduates in their first year.New Graduates (including medicine, allied health, nursing and midwifery) and may qualify for up to 0.5 hours of Continuous Professional Development.
