This module is designed for managers to explore strategies that promote and embed safety in the workplace.

A certificate is issued on completion.

Objectives

Upon completing this module you will be able to:

• Recognise your role as a manager in connecting and implementing the safety objectives of senior management with the broader workforce
• Identify local contextual strategies to implement that will support the embedding of a ‘staff safety culture’ in the workplace
• Recognise the safety responsibilities of your role as a manager to maintain safe work practices, in accordance with WHS legislation
• Apply and integrate into day-to-day practices, a risk management  approach to ensure the ongoing proactive health and safety of  staff, patients and visitors

Audience

The course is designed for all managers and may qualify for up to 0.5 hrs of Continuous Professional Development.
