The practical face-to-face session consolidates participants knowledge in newborn advanced life support airway management.   The session will include a revision of related newborn anatomy and physiology and ETT insertion technique.

A certificate is issued on completion.

Objectives

On successful completion of this face-to-face session, the learner should be able to:

  1. Select and prepare equipment to manage a newborns airway during resuscitation.
  2. Demonstrate accurate technique for endotracheal tube (ETT) intubation in a newborn.

Audience

This practical session is designed for clinical staff whose scope of practice is to perform newborn advanced life support interventions during resuscitation and may qualify for up to 1.0 hours of Continuous Professional Development.
