Welcome to the eLearning module Hazardous Manual Tasks.

In this module we hope to raise your awareness of how to manage the risk of musculoskeletal disorders associated with performing hazardous manual tasks in the workplace.

This module is relevant to anyone who carries out work for NSW Health and is therefore considered a "worker" under the Work Health and Safety Act 2010.

You must submit responses to any questions asked in this module or you will not be acknowledged as completing

A certificate is issued on completion.

Objectives

On successful completion of this module you will be able to:

  • Identify the safety issues associated with undertaking hazardous manual tasks
  • Recognise the adverse health and safety effects of incorrectly performed manual tasks
  • Identify and report risks associated with manual tasks in your workplace

Audience

This course is applicable for all NSW Health Staff and for Health professionals may qualify for up to 0.5 hrs of Continuous Professional Development.
