Welcome to the eLearning module Team Work - Team Processes.

The purpose of this module is to provide an overview of the knowledge, skills and strategies for new managers and team leaders who need to build effective teams.

It is envisaged that this module will be one of a series of modules that are part of a much broader framework.

In the Team Building module “Building Effective Teams” we identified the stages of team development “Forming, Storming, Norming, Performing and Adjourning”.

This module aims to expand on these processes by identifying the behavioural features of each of the stages and by suggesting strategies to manage each of these stages.

A certificate is issued on completion.

Objectives

At the end of this module you will be able to:

• Explain the different stages of team development and be able to identify in which stage a team is currently operating
• Choose appropriate strategies for guiding a team through the different stages of the team lifecycle.

Audience

This course is applicable for new managers and team leaders who need to build effective teams and may qualify for up to 0.5 hrs of Continuous Professional Development.
