Course Background

Welcome to the eLearning module Medical Terminology Education and Practise.

This module will develop your skills and knowledge required to understand and respond to instructions; to carry out routine tasks and communicate with a range of internal/external clients in a medical environment; and to use appropriate advanced medical terminology.

A certificate is issued on completion.

Outcomes

At the completion of the module participants will be able to:

  • Respond appropriately to instructions which contain medical terminology
  • Carry out routine tasks involving medical terminology
  • Use appropriate medical terminology in oral and written communication

Audience

This course is applicable for people who work in a health care environment and support a range of health sector roles. These may include: office workers, ward clerks, pharmacy assistants, secretaries, allied health assistants, data entry operators, volunteers etc.and may qualify for up to 36.0 hrs of Continuous Professional Development
