Using Radiometer Blood Gas ABL800 Analysers

Welcome to the eLearning module Using the ABL 800 Series Analysers

This is a re-accreditation module for the ABL 800 Series Point of Care Testing Device, which is used for blood analysis. You must complete the re-accreditation every 2 years to continue to have access to ABL 800 Series devices.

This module will ask you a series of questions about the ABL 800 Series device. If you answer the questions correctly, a confirmation will be sent automatically to the ABL management system, and your access to the ABL 800 Series devices will remain active.

If you answer questions incorrectly you will be provided with information on that aspect of the device and can re-attempt the question. You must answer the question correctly to continue the module.

If you are unfamiliar with the ABL 800 Series device, please ask about face-to-face training in your area.

A certificate is issued on completion.

Objectives

After successfully answering all the questions in the module you will be re-accredited and will be able to use ABL 800 Series devices. If you access had been disabled, this re-activation process can take up to 24 hours.

Audience

This module is targeted as staff who have completed the ABL 800 Series face to face training and are certified to use ABL 800 Series Analyser devices for point of care testing and may quality for up to 0.5 hours of Continuous Professional Development.
