Welcome to the Health Professional Councils Authority (HPCA). It's great to have you as part of the team!

This module will explore how the HPCA supports the various medical, nursing and allied health professional Councils across NSW to protect the public through their regulatory activities. It will also introduce you to the organisation, what we do, how we work, and where to find key information.

A certificate is issued on completion.

Objectives

After completing this module you should be able to:

• describe what the HPCA does trimester, and associated benefits to the newborn
• identify HPCA values
• explain the co-regulatory model within which the HPCA operates
• describe the ways HPCA protects privacy and confidentiality
• identify where to find further information and the next steps in your orientation

Audience

This module is designed for all HPCA employees and may qualify for up to 0.5 hrs of Continuous Professional Development.
