Using the i-STAT Testing Device
Welcome to the eLearning module Using the i-STAT Testing Device.
This is a re-accreditation module for the i-STAT Point of Care Testing Device. You must complete the re-accreditation every 2 years to continue to have access to i-STAT devices.
This module will ask you a series of questions about the i-STAT device. If you answer the questions correctly, a confirmation will be sent automatically to the i-STAT management system, and your access to the i-STAT devices will remain active.
If you answer questions incorrectly you will be provided with information on that aspect of the device and can re-attempt the question. You must answer the question correctly to continue the module.
If you are unfamiliar with the i-STAT device, please ask about face-to-face training in your area.
A certificate is issued on completion.
After successfully answering all the questions in the module you will be re-accredited and will be able to use i-STAT devices. If you access had been disabled, this re-activation process can take up to 24 hours.
This module is targeted as staff who have completed the i-STAT face to face training and are certified to use i-STAT devices for point of care testing and may qualify for up to 0.5 hrs of Continuous Professional Development.
