Welcome to the eLearning module Smoking in Pregnancy Part B.

This module aims to increase your skills and confidence in providing evidence-based smoking cessation care to pregnant women.

A certificate is issued on completion.

Objectives

After completing this module, learners will be able to:

  • explain the evidence-based smoking cessation treatment options available for pregnant women
  • explain how to provide appropriate cessation care through the 5As approach within routine clinical practice
  • identify the clinical pathway that supports smoking cessation for pregnant women in your antenatal service.

Audience

This course is designed for antenatal service providers in NSW Health including midwives, child and family nurses, early childhood nurses, drug and alcohol workers, Aboriginal health workers. This may qualify for up to 0.7 hrs of Continuous Professional Development.
