Welcome to the eLearning module Smoking & Vaping in Pregnancy Part B.

This module aims to increase your skills and confidence in providing evidence-based smoking and vaping cessation care in pregnancy.

This module shows how to integrate best practice using the 'Ask, Advise, Help' model of brief intervention in your routine clinical practice.

A certificate is issued on completion.

Objectives

After completing this module, learners will be able to:

  • explain the evidence-based smoking and vaping cessation options available in pregnancy
  • explain how to provide best practice cessation care using the 'Ask, Advise, Help' brief intervention model
  • identify the clinical pathway that supports smoking and vaping cessation in pregnancy.

Audience

This course is designed for antenatal service providers in NSW Health including midwives, child and family nurses, early childhood nurses, drug and alcohol workers, Aboriginal health workers. This may qualify for up to 0.4 hrs of Continuous Professional Development.
