Delirium (Stage 1)

Description

Welcome to the eLearning module Delirium (Stage 1).

This WA Clinical Training Network video demonstrates Inter-professional learning in a simulated clinical environment to model Delirium care.

It begins with Mrs. Green a 58 year old lady admitted to hospital with a chest infection and dehydration. The video does not demonstrate Cognitive Screening on admission. It commences with the nurse recognising a change in cognition and assesses Mrs. Green as now being disoriented to time and place. Mrs. Green is usually very independent and her family have no previous concerns about her memory or cognition. She lives alone but doesn’t need any services. The nurse escalates her assessment results to the doctor and the management demonstrates optimal coordination of the multidisciplinary team in patient centred care.

A certificate is issued on completion.
