Welcome to the eLearning module for Injury Management.

This module will assist Managers to appropriately and consistently manage workplace injuries and resulting workers compensation claims, in order to achieve a prompt, safe and durable return to work for an injured worker, ideally into their pre-injury employment.

A certificate is issued on completion.

Objectives

The module objectives are for managers within the NSW Health system to be able to identify:

• The steps to be taken if a worker reports an injury at work
• Their role in managing a worker on a return to work plan and
• Supportive actions required if a worker has difficulty in returning to work.

Audience

This course is applicable for all parties involved in workers compensation including Return to Work Coordinators; managers who are managing staff with injuries; staff who have injuries and may qualify for up to 0.5 hrs of Continuous Professional Development.
