Welcome to the eLearning module Lymphoedema Early Intervention.

This course provides specific information on lymphoedema for occupational therapists and physical therapists. A separate course, 'Lymphoedema Awareness' is also available to all allied health professionals who want to learn more about lymphoedema.

A certificate is issued on completion.

Objectives

After completing this module you will be able to:

• Provide evidence-based self-management education to early stage secondary lymphoedema patients; and
• Empower patients at risk of, or with, lymphoedema by making them aware of the resources and support available; and
• Refer to, and work with, specialist lymphoedema therapists as appropriate.

Audience

This module is designed for all NSW Health employees, but is most relevant to the Allied Health ANZSCO codes and may qualify for up to 0.6 hrs of Continuous Professional Development.
