Welcome to the eLearning module Administering Oral Medications 0 – 6 years.

This module is intended for all staff involved in the preparation and administration of oral medication to children aged 0-6 years.

A certificate is issued on completion.

Objectives

On successful completion of this module you will be able to:

• Explain how the developmental stages of infants, toddlers and preschool aged children can impact on oral medication administration
• Identify different techniques to safely administer oral medications
• Safely administer oral medication using a person and family-centred approach

Audience

This course is applicable for all staff involved in administering oral medications to children 0-6 years and may qualify for up to 0.5 hrs of Continuous Professional Development
