Normalise HIV in your practice

Description

Welcome to the eLearning module Normalise HIV Testing in your practice.

This module explores how health workers can identify opportunities to offer HIV testing in a non-traditional setting. The module also explores strategies that reduce the risk of acquiring or passing on STI and HIV. It also looks at ways a health worker can offer support to help improve a person's health outcomes. Each of these in turn will improve health outcomes for the community.

A certificate is issued on completion.

Objectives

On successful completion of this module the learner should be able to:

  • confidently offer HIV testing, and provide appropriate support and follow up

  • identify strategies that aim to reduce the risk of HIV transmission in high risk populations.
