Objectives

On completion of the module, you will be able to - identify the potential infection risk associated with indwelling urinary catheters, assess whether an indwelling urinary catheter is required, select the appropriate equipment for indwelling catheter insertion, understand the principles of inserting an indwelling catheter using aseptic technique.

Audience

This course is designed for all clinicians who perform male & female IDC insertion and may qualify for up to 0.5 hrs of Continuous Professional Development.
