NSW Rural Allied Health Clinical Placement Grants

Open from: 28 January 2019 to 5 April 2019
Placement grants of up to $750 (or $1,000 for placements at Broken Hill) are offered each semester. Grants are awarded on the basis of the duration of the placement and the cost of travel associated with accessing the placement.
Priority will be given to students who have not previously received a NSW Rural Allied Health Clinical Placement Grant, though past grant recipients may apply.
The term “rural” refers to areas covered by rural Local Health Districts:
- Far West
- Western NSW
- Northern NSW
- Mid North Coast
- Southern NSW
- Hunter New England (excluding: Cessnock, Maitland, Port Stephens, Newcastle, and Lake Macquarie LGA)
- Illawarra Shoalhaven (excluding: Kiama, and Shellharbour LGA)
- Nepean Blue Mountains (Lithgow LGA only)
When to apply
Grants are limited to one applicant per calendar year, for placements between 1 November 2018 - 31 January 2020.
Funding 1: Applications open on 28 January 2019 and close on 5 April 2019 for placements starting no earlier than 1 November 2018 and finishing no later than 31 January 2020.
Funding 2: Applications open on 5 July 2019 and close on Friday 13 September 2019 for placements starting no earlier than 1 November 2018 and finishing no later than 31 January 2020.
