Supervision has a distinctive aim of enhancing a professional's self-awareness, facilitating him or her to work in a more open and reflective manner. It is often used by professionals who work with people and a trained supervisor the skills and expertise to work with individuals and groups across a continuum.
The Directory of Clinical Supervision training courses list below should not be considered either an endorsement of these courses or an exhaustive list of supervision courses.
Please note that a number of other organisations, including LHDs and colleges, offer clinical supervision courses so we would encourage further research in your own area to see what is available.
We hope the list will provide a starting point for nursing and midwifery professionals to find a course or training that is suitable.
