HETI launches new module 'Improving Engagement with People who may be Suicidal'.

The Health Education and Training Institute (HETI) is pleased to announce the launch of Improving Engagement with People who may be Suicidalthe first of five My Health Learning e-learning modules developed as part of the NSW Government’s commitment to reduce the number of people who die from suicide.

The module's content centres around a six-point framework that enables improved understanding of purposeful clinical engagement in healthcare, especially with people who may be suicidal.

Learners can expect to gain additional engaging and meaningful insights from real life stories and the voice of experts. Together with reflective exercises, the learner will have the opportunity to develop a personalised approach to engaging with people who may be suicidal, and those around them.

This module was developed with funding from the Zero Suicides in Care initiative and is intended for clinicians working within or outside mental health services.
