Professor Balakrishnan (Kichu) Nair is the Professor of Medicine and Associate Dean of the School of Medicine and Public Health at the University of Newcastle, Australia. He brings significant experience in medical education through his roles as Director of the Centre for Medical Professional Development of the Hunter New England Health Service in Newcastle and Associate Editor-in-Chief of Advances in Medical Education and Practice Journal.

As Director for Educational Research at HETI, Prof. Nair facilitates HETI's Evaluation and Research Webcast Series, which features presentations from national and international guest speakers in the field of health education and research.

Prof. Nair is also the Editor-in-Chief of Health Education in Practice: Journal of Research for Professional Learning (HEPJ). He is supported by the Editorial Board, whose members are prominent scholars and professionals in disciplines related to the journal scope. The Board provides guidance and advice on policy, strategy, and style, including future directions and journal growth.
