Refreshing People Management Skills Program

Publish date:

Update on Autumn 2021 rollout.

Amongst the many impacts of COVID19, the transition of face to face development programs to a virtual platform has been a major focus for HETI.

The latest to be redesigned is the intensive People Management Skills program (PMSP). The redesign process has allowed for PMSP to be refreshed and contemporised. The revised program offers an integrated approach to building management knowledge and capabilities to effectively support teams and positively manage challenging situations.

Participants develop skills to form meaningful connections and create safe, healthy working environments, contributing to a better human experience and improved patient outcomes.

The new design offers a deep dive into subjects to strengthen behavioural change, with learning activities promoting critical thinking, problem solving, practice development and reflection.

The program is available to all NSW Health managers and delivered in virtual classrooms across NSW Health, promoting cross organisation participant mix and supported by a state-wide Community of Practice.

We are pleased to announce enrolments are open (until 28 March) for the Autumn 2021 cohort and acknowledge the pause in PMSP delivery in 2020. The new program is available in either six half day modules or three separate full days.
