Join us for the next webinar in our Evaluation and Research Webcast Series with Professor Trevor Gibbs to discuss purposeful collaboration in health professions education.

International collaboration: Moving away from Colonialism

The term collaboration is appearing more frequently in educational literature, but often refers to a one-way process of one institution instructing another on how they believe certain activities should be enacted; it is frequently a resource-rich organisation addressing and instructing a less well-resourced one in an unsustainable manner.

Professor Trevor Gibbs shares a more modern definition of collaboration, using experience from many years of faculty development.

Discussion following the webinar will be facilitated by Professor Balakrishnan (Kichu) Nair AM.

  • To explore the wider definition of collaboration
  • Through specific examples, describe what can be achieved by two organisations establishing an international collaborative activity
  • Through discussion, share what can be achieved in interprofessional approaches to collaboration.

This webinar is suited for health professionals who have an interest in health education and assessment.

The webinar will be recorded and made available on the Evaluation and Research Webcast Series page, for those who cannot attend the live presentation.
