Diagnostic imaging medical physicists support the acquisition, processing and storage of medical imaging data. This workshop provides an introduction to the professional and ethical issues relating to healthcare data, networking, DICOM.

The practical sessions will focus on:

1. Setting up a DICOM server and client to send and receive images.
2. Extracting information from the DICOM images.

Participants will be required to bring a laptop for the practical session.
