Welcome to the Rural Generalist Nurse Program: Aged Care.

The Rural Generalist Nurse works across a multitude of health areas, and is required to provide comprehensive care across the age spectrum, often without immediate access to key health care professionals.

In this eLearning module you will learn how to maximise the health of the older person by using a person-centred, holistic appraoch to comprehensive assessment.

This Learning Pathway is one of five resources in the Rural Generalist Nurse Program. Other resources are available in the areas of palliative care, paediatric care, mental health and comprehensive assessment.

A certificate is issued on completion.

Objectives

After completing this module you will be able to use a person-centred holistic approach to comprehensive assessment, which will maximise the health of the older person.

Audience

This course is applicable for all NSW Health Clinical Staff and may qualify for up to 0.5 hrs of Continuous Professional Development.
