Jump Start: An introduction to Project Management workshop
Welcome to Jump start! An Introduction to Project Management Workshop.
This is a workshop, a one-day face to face introductory program for project management. Participants will be able to gain an overall understanding about project management, and be familiar with a number of tools that support the planning, implementation and conclusion of projects in their workplace.
A certificate is issued on completion of the learning path.
On completion of this workshop, participants will be able to:
- Understand the overall context and life cycle for successful project management;
- Identify the different roles and responsibilities of stakeholders involved in the project, including that of the project manager and the sponsor;
- Construct a project management plan using a structured and integrated approach;
- Set up a process to manage the project until completion
This workshop is designed for all staff of NSW Health with no or limited exposure to project management theory who will need to lead small to medium projects / change initiative in the near future. This may qualify for up to 1.0 day of Continuous Professional Development.
