Ryde Hospital

Emergency Medicine Network 3
Why Ryde Hospital?

Ryde gives individualised, personalised training, in an ED that helps you balance work and family life.

The ED is rarely overcrowded, ambulances get offloaded and access block is uncommon, so it is less stressful working here than other places. Because the workload is rarely overwhelming, we have time to really care for our patients. We have a friendly, collaborative culture and you can enjoy going to work.

We have a small number of trainees so are able to design your training around your personal needs. Rosters can be structured around family and other commitments.

We offer a paid, protected training day every 4 weeks with simulation scenarios in the morning and small group learning in the afternoon. We offer paid, protected attendance at all the Network 3 CHEMP courses and any other relevant course you wish to attend. We run a procedures course every 6 months that teaches you every ED procedure from tonometry to surgical airway.

The Department is accredited for 6 months Emergency Medicine Training with ACEM. We can get you rotations in:

  • Anaesthetics
  • ICU
  • Paediatrics
  • Cardiology
  • General Medicine
  • Psychiatry
