Effective Workplace Conversations
Welcome to the eLearning module Effective Workplace Conversations.
This module provides an overview to support effective workplace conversations. It can assist in ensuring that our conversations support a harmonious work environment, which can contribute to better patient outcomes. The module will review three fundamental skills used to support effective workplace conversations: (1) choosing the right time and place; (2) preparing for the conversation; and (3) applying communication skills. These skills will be applied to three scenarios common to health.
A certificate is issued on completion.
On completion of the module, you should be able to:
- Understand the value and purpose of effective workplace conversations
- Better identify when and where to have effective workplace conversations
- Be more prepared in undertaking effective workplace conversations
- Apply a range of communication skills that support effective outcomes and bring about positive change in the workplace.
This course is applicable for all NSW Health Staff and may qualify for up to 0.6 hrs of Continuous Professional Development.
