Optimised Allocation

The Optimised Allocation pathway predominately facilitates allocation of medical graduates to positions in outer and inner metropolitan Sydney in the prevocational training networks. It is also used to fill positions in regional networks following exhaustion of eligible applicants in the Direct Regional Allocation pathway.

Who is eligible to apply to the Optimised Allocation pathway

  • Medical graduates who meet eligibility and NSW Health Priority Criteria
  • Medical graduates who are expected to complete a medical degree this year or have completed a medical degree in the past two years
  • Medical Graduates who have not previously worked as a doctor

Please refer to the Optimised Allocation Pathway Procedure for further information about the pathway.

Applicants must rank all of the 15 NSW prevocational training networks in order of their preference on their online application.
