Clinical Placements in NSW Health (ClinConnect)

Student clinical placements are a requirement for courses in a number of health-related disciplines in NSW including medicine, dentistry and oral health, nursing and midwifery, allied health and all other discipline areas aligned to clinical services. 

In order for a clinical placement to take place in NSW Health, the following requirements must be met.

1. There must be a Student Placement Agreement in place between the Health Service and the Education Provider that specifically lists the discipline

2. The student must be compliant with NSW Health policy requirements (National Criminal Record Check, Code of Conduct, Immunisations)

3. The placement must be booked and managed through ClinConnect.


Clinical placements are organised by the Education Provider (University, TAFE, College) and booked and managed in ClinConnect.  Clinical placements are for students who are enrolled in an Australian Education Provider and who are working towards a health related occupation.
