Applications now open for the 2018 Rural Clinical Team Leadership Program
"The best course I have ever had the privilege of doing in my entire 16 years in nursing. I gained bucket loads in both leadership skills and personal development. This course has inspired me to want to be the best leader I can be. The wealth of knowledge I gained from the group was way beyond my expectations and so was the program.” - Previous participant
LEAD WITH A DIFFERENCE. IMPLEMENT CHANGE. IMPROVE PATIENT OUTCOMES.
HETI is providing the opportunity for 10 teams of two individuals (a GP/VMO or senior clinician and a health servcie staff member) from rural or remote health facilities to be involved in the 2018 Rural Clinical Team Leadershp Program.
This 10-month Program explores clinical leadership and change concepts to support the process of leading and influencing clinical activities, with the aim of improving the delivery of safe clinical care within the context of patient-centred care.
Based on a structured experiential development model, the Program is designed to create opportunity for clinicians to step away from the workplace; think about what they do; how they do it; and how they could do it better.
The Program is funded by HETI, and is provided at no charge to staff who are selected to the program.
Applications close Friday 22 December 2017.
